Sorry about the title, but I'm not feeling creative today. I've decided to answer some questions from the toolbar survey, why we're not doing certain things, why things may not be working for some people, etc. (speaking of the survey, it was a great success, thanks for participating if you did!) First off, a user asked us: "The Scrolling Message Links could be updated more often" Well, yes they could. Why don't you email HBO and Rampancy and tell them to find more news to publish. We do not update the marquee manually, it auto-updates whenever a story is posted on HBO or Rampancy (the only sites currently on the marquee) Several people asked us to put HIH news on the toolbar. This is not possible, since HIH doesn't have a news feed. This makes me mad too, so

and tell him to get RSS. "I would like to be able to remove some of the features i don't use" Mmmhh...No. Sorry. Too much coding and not that important if you consider the other things we're working on.
"Please make it so the toolbar wraps" We hear you. We've had several people complain that they can't see the whole toolbar on lower resolutions. We are aware of the problem and are working on a way to make the toolbar wrap. "Would you please remove the highlighter?" Sure. Highlighter removed. Don't say we never did anything for you.
"I would like a better gamertag feature with no registration." There is a gamertag feature with no registration, bungie stats. Advanced stats require registration because it's to hard to index EVERY game that takes place on XBL. (about 1 million a day) "I find it hard to add your own links to the too;bar because they apparenttly show up off screen to the right of the ticker." That's because custom links are being phased out. It will be removed from the IE version soon, and the FireFox beta doesn't even have it. "I would like to delete the search bar." That's how the hosting and development of the toolbar is payed for. Also, that falls under deleting/customizing the toolbar, which was mentioned earlier in this article. "It would be cool if it showed which friends are on xbox live" It's got a link to bungie...anything we coded would still require that you log in, it'd be easier just to click the button for bungie.net. Lastly, one of our users told us that the toolbar is actually SlimBrowser compatible. So...wow. I haven't even heard of slimbrowser before. That's all. Check back around friday for the FireFox debut! -Mike
